Our client's Development Planning department specialises in providing high level advice to clients on planning and design issues relating to Highways, Sewerage, Flood Protection and Services Co-ordination on Residential, Retail, Industrial and Commercial Developments.
They are now looking to appoint a Technician to join their Hampshire based team.
Probably from a Consultancy or Development background with a heavy bias on private sector work, you will assume the role of design technician / engineer within small teams producing planning applications and construction drawings and will have the support of a pool of experienced technical staff of various grades.
You will hold an HNC or HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and have extensive experience in highway or drainage design and you will ideally be well versed in the preparation of drawings for contract documents, road construction consents and all other related technical Agreements.
You will have experience in the use of MS WORD and EXCEL and in AutoCAD V14 or 2000, have a working knowledge of MOSS, KEYTERRAFIRMA, AUTOTRACK AND / OR PDS and experience in applying Scottish Executive and Local Authority design guidance.
You will need to have good written and spoken communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £26 - 34,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
