Our client's Berkshire office requires a Senior Highways Engineer to become involved in undertaking and supporting the preparation of various aspects of highway design.
You will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members. Technical input is likely to include:
• Preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments
• Scheme feasibility studies
• Preparation of scheme designs and drawings
• Interfacing with multi disciplinary project teams
• Value engineering and value management
• Project management and client reporting
You will have a degree in Civil Engineering, an HNC / HND or an equivalent qualification and preferably have C.Eng MICE or I.Eng status.
Good experience of working on highway design projects preferably at tender and detailed design stages is essential as is familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
You will have good time management skills, excellent communication skills both written and oral and will have the ability to manage a number of ongoing concurrent projects.
A clean driving licence valid in the UK is required.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £32 - 38,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
