Are you a technically strong transport modeller with aspirations to lead a small, vibrant team?

Our successful client is expanding and developing their team, which is typically involved in delivering major highway and public transport schemes in the UK and is currently looking for an outstanding individual to act as a project leader.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be expected to liaise with clients on technical and project management issues and help to expand and strengthen their capability and business in transport modelling, economic appraisal and scheme assessment.

You will have a Masters or equivalent in a transport related subject and will have achieved Chartered Status either with ILT or ICE.

With previous extensive experience in a transport planning consultancy or local authority, your experience will include leading projects and using transport planning software (SATURN, COBA, DfT procedures such as WebTag) and knowledge of micro-simulation packages and other standard packages, such as EMME II, TRIPS, TUBA and QUADRO. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications is also necessary.

You will have the ability to mentor less experienced members of the team and will be required to play a pivotal role in assisting them to develop to their full potential.

The post may involve travelling to site and occasionally abroad, therefore a full driving licence is necessary.

A generous salary will be offered, probably in the range of £38 - 45,000 p.a., together with a good array of benefits.
