Our client requires a Lighting Engineer to join their Surrey based team to perform the following main duties:
• Evaluate problems and apply a combination of standard engineering techniques without supervision
• Assist with the training and development of team members
• Contribute to the capture of relevant project knowledge
• Prepare and / or check design calculations and drawings
• Oversee the preparation of drawings by drafts people
• Produce relevant contract documents and specifications
• Produce bills of quantity (if applicable)
• Produce detailed technical reports
• Fully comply with quality, safety and environmental management systems
• Liaise with site staff during the implementation phase of projects
You will have a relevant degree or equivalent and will be have Membership or be in the process of becoming a Member of a relevant professional body.
Your experience will include the delivery of small / medium sized lighting projects up to £20k in fee value and you will also be experienced in the use of various relevant software packages, LIGHTING REALITY, TURBOLIGHT, AMTECH and AutoCAD.
You will be a good communicator who is self motivated with the ability to work both as a team player and unsupervised.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £30 - 35,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
