Our client's Surrey office is seeking to recruit a Highways / Traffic Engineer to become an integral member of their established team.
You will play a leading role in a wide range of high-profile Highway projects, which will demand a balance of technical expertise, budget and resource management and the capability to successfully deliver results to multiple projects.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
• Feasibility studies, scheme assessment, detailed design, statutory procedures and contract supervision.
• Coordinate and manage elements of projects from instruction through to completion
• Liaise with other design teams (possibly in different offices), specialists, site managers and other third parties
• Working with senior team members in undertaking estimating, cost reporting and forecasting for projects and may become involved in the tendering process for new work.
• Assisting less experienced members of the team as required.
Degree qualified or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related subject, you will preferably be a recently Chartered Engineer (ICE, IHT) and have an appropriate amount of relevant postgraduate experience with a proven track record in Design and Build Schemes.
Good commercial awareness and the ability to manage a portfolio of projects at varying stages are essential.
You will be a highly motivated team player who is dedicated to the delivery of projects and the development of the business as a whole, has the ability to assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations and who possesses excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £28 - 35,000 p.a., together with an array of benefits including contributory pension scheme, extensive training and development support.
