Our client's Bedfordshire office requires a Highways Engineer to undertake the design of major highway and development infrastructure projects.
Other responsibilities will include applying technical principles (including codes of practice / standards), assisting in the preparation of Design and Check Certificates and all other necessary approvals / submissions and undertaking designers risk assessment.
You will also be required to liaise with stakeholders and work in accordance and assist with the preparation of project plans.
You will have an Honours Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering and will have or will be working towards Chartered Status. Broad experience of highway design is also essential as is sound knowledge of Highways Agency procedures and standards and experience of CDM.
Your excellent communication skills will allow you to give clear instructions to others and to communicate any issues / problems / development to the Project Team.
You will have the logical ability to ensure a complete understanding of the requirements of tasks and will be able to work within deadlines and constraints.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £26 - 32,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
