A Highway Engineer is urgently required for this Berkshire based Local Authority. The main scope of the role includes the control and management of all aspects of Highway Development relating to planning applications. You will also manage all aspects of S38 and S278 of the highways act and any improvements agreed under S106. This is an initial contract position with the chance of permanant recruitment for the right candidate. Good communication skills are a must along with the ability to negotiate. You will be able to make independant decisions on design matters. The use of engineering applications on a PC are also required and a good working knowledge of highway law, CDM and legislation related to public right of way. A full and valid driving licenec is required with access to your own transport. |
