Service Engineer - qualifications/experience in Refrigeration, Refrigerant Safe Handling and Air Conditioning - environmental service experience essential - home based and living on the M25 belt between the M40 & M23 (south - west London area) or in any of the home counties in or around London - salary £20/21 to £30k according to experience plus Van, mobile, laptop etc
We are looking for a Service Engineer with a City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent in Refrigeration, Refrigerant Safe Handling and Air Conditioning to work for the Precision Cooling Division of a diversified global manufacturing and technology company.
The Service Engineer (Refrigeration/Air Conditioning) must have previous environmental service experience and be computer literate
Excellent customer service skills will also be required as will a valid driving license and the ability to plan, organise and manage time effectively
The main role of the Service Engineer (Refrigeration/Air Conditioning) will be to take responsibility for start ups, maintenance, and emergency repairs of the company's environmental products and other contracted systems. The successful candidate will be required to establish, promote and maintain rapport with customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area as well as maintaining continuous communications with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor (Refrigeration/Air Conditioning) , the Service Engineer's day to day duties will include:-
* Responding to all assigned service calls while on duty * Complying with all procedures in the Field Procedure Manual * Performing all work in a safe manner to company safety policy * Ensuring spare parts are accounted for * Assisting Call control to schedule, plan and complete start ups * Keeping Call Control informed of the status of all open jobs * Maintaining the accuracy of the customer listing * Completing daily paperwork * Reporting sales or service leads * Using email and other office based programmes * Following ISO 9001:2000 agreed processes
Because of the nature of the work after hours and weekend work is frequently scheduled with little notice. There is also the possibility of some overnight stays (hotel)
Heavy lifting may be required (35 kg)
