Installation Engineer - HV Systems - Construction/Electricity industry background - understanding of HV cable systems - for contracts throughout the UK - based London - Southern Area - basic salary up to £35K with overtime and car , pension etc
We are looking for two Installation Engineers with, preferably but not essentially, an HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent) and experience within a construction and/or electricity industry type environment.
The Installation Engineer will need a good understanding of HV cable systems and construction/civil engineering matters, proven supervisory skills and an ability to work unsupervised.
A good level of computer literacy is required for this role as is the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and a driving licence
Reporting to the Area Manager the HV Installations Engineers will be responsible for supervising a range of installation activities on new projects.
Duties will include -
* Attending technical and commercial meetings on a regular basis during the life of any project or contract.
* Supervising specialist subcontractors in site activities such as civil and scaffolding contractors and controlling their programmes, payments and claims.
* Supervising installation teams, including engineers, foremen, cable jointers and oil mechanics
* Carrying out site audit checks
* Operating safe systems of work on all site activities
* Creating work programmes utilising spreadsheets and attending and chairing regular progress meetings with Clients and Subcontractors.
* Assisting in producing site installation information to be included in the preparation of tenders
* Being included on a standby rota to cover emergency fault requests from Customers
* Taking responsibility on site for delivery of projects within agreed schedule and cost.
