Engineering Manager (3 month temporary contract to cover absence).
Location: Dartford, Kent
Pay rate: £15.50 (PAYE) to £20.00 (Ltd company) per hour.
Hours: Between 8:00am and 5:30pm.
JOB PURPOSE.
•To provide day-to-day leadership and control of the on site maintenance team.
•To ensure Key Performance Indicators are achieved and maintained in line with the Contract for Estates Services.
•To support the development of Technical Services to the hospital.
•To ensure compliance in relation to Company Policies and Procedures for Health, Safety and Environment, Service Delivery, Quality, Finance and HR.
•To ensure that maintenance work is carried out within budget targets.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE.
•Qualified to HNC level in an engineering discipline
•At least 5 years managerial experience within a building services environment.(Experience within a hospital environment would be an advantage)
•Strong communication and inter-personal skills
•People Management skills
•Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
•Knowledge of managing budgets
•Knowledge of health & safety procedures
•Highly developed customer focus
•Experience of the co-ordination of all maintenance in relation to engineering services using internal and external resources.
