Our client in Surrey is looking to strengthen their existing team and seeks to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer at Senior level to work on rail related projects.
You will be expected to work with contractors advising on suitable solutions to reactive earthworks stabilisation and then to undertake analysis and reporting in the office to support the site design.
You will have a B.Sc or equivalent in civil engineering or engineering geology, whilst a M.Sc in geotechnical engineering would be desirable. Experience in rail earthworks design and implementation of remedial designs is essential as is familiarity with Network Rail standards and Form A requirements.
This position will require you to undertake site work in engineering hours on a regular basis including bank holidays, nights and weekends.
A strong personality is required together with the ability to deal with contractors.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £33 - 40,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
