RELATIONSHIPS
The position is aligned with other senior positions within the Ambient Air service line responsible for the technical delivery to clients and provision of assistance to the Business Director in the implementation of the Business Development Plan. The position is a leading role within a small team located within the South East Regional Office of my client.
JOB PURPOSE
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES Delivery of the Ambient Air Quality service line Business Development Plan and identification of new and emerging markets for the provision of ambient air related services; Day-to-day management of staff Financial tracking and reporting of Manchester team Key Performance Indicators to the Business Director Monthly meeting attendance with team members and Business Director Delivery of technical reports to clients on all aspects of air pollution including dispersion modelling and monitoring

JOB HOLDER'S PROFILE The position is ideal for someone with a proven track record in the technical delivery of ambient air quality services to clients both in the public and private sector. This would necessarily need to include the use of commercially available dispersion models and appropriate understanding of monitoring techniques and the quality assurance and quality control programmes required to ensure consistently high delivery of services. The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (minimum MSc or equivalent) and show an in-depth understanding of the policy and legislative frameworks in place both in the UK and in Europe. The successful candidate will be proactive in both business and management styles and seek to improve and enhance current service provision. Good inter-personal skills are an essential pre-requisite. The candidate should be familiar with rudimentary financial management systems and reporting of key performance indicators. A systematic and transparent approach to working is important. The candidate will be well presented and have a professional manner commensurate with the senior position.
A proven track record in client development and growth in revenue streams is desirable in order to meet the aspirations of the business to grow in the south east.
