Job Description
We are looking for a Hydrogeologist with 2-3 years post - MSc experience ready to take up this challenge, thriving on the excellent opportunities for personal career development in a broad range of hydrogeological disciplines applied to a variety of public and private sector environmental and engineering projects (in particular contaminated land, waste management and minerals extraction) in the UK.

Requirements: (Essential)
Ø Qualifications required for the position are a good undergraduate degree in geology or an applied earth science discipline and a second degree in Hydrogeology.
Ø Two to three years of professional experience in the application of hydrogeological knowledge and skills is preferred, though good qualifications and the right aptitude are most important.
The position is office based but will inevitably involve travelling to sites. A driving license is therefore essential

Ø Good technical writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities would include:
· Obtaining, collating and interpreting background information for discrete sites and areas;
· Specification and supervision of hydrogeological investigations.
· Presentation, analysis and interpretation of hydrogeological data.
· Plan and undertake groundwater risk assessments, with use of appropriate software, with reporting.
· Numerical groundwater modelling.
· Providing support to professionals in other disciplines including geotechnics, contaminated land, waste management, EIA and civil/structural engineering;
· Producing high quality technical reports;
· Management of small budget hydrogeological projects;
· Client and regulator liaison; and
Proposal preparation and contribution to the development of new areas of business in the application of earth science disciplines
