An excellent opportunity has currently arisen with one of the UK’s leading consultancies for an enthusiastic and motivated Ecologist to join their Environmental team in Cambridge. They have offices throughout the UK and a large international presence with them employing over 10000 staff Worldwide. Their team in Cambridge provides an ecological consultancy service to their clients and have a number of specialists working from there. The main aspect of the role will be focused on Extended Phase 1 Ecological Assessments, Phase 1 Habitat mapping, Ecological and protected species surveys and assessments, Ecological management and monitoring during construction and Environmental Impact Assessments. The successful candidate will have good protected species knowledge and experience, be a holder of a NE protected species licence, notable great crested newts and/or dormice and have significant experience in the UK ecological consultancy market. You will have an excellent understanding of UK nature conservation legislation along with practical experience in dealing with protected species and mitigation measures and be experienced in management and co-ordination of ecological projects.
