Landfill Construction Quality Assurance based in Oxford

Our Client is a multi disciplinary consultancy providing worldwide environmental sciences and engineering expertise from a network of offices in the UK and North America.

As a multi disciplinary practice, our client employs a wide range of technical specialists, each of whom works in a recognised technical discipline team. The teams are led by experienced professionals who are responsible for technical standards, training and career development.


The role

Landfill Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) including:
CQA Plan preparation and submission to the Environment Agency

  • Overseeing landfill construction

  • Ensuring all conformance testing is undertaken in accordance with the CQA Plan

  • Daily records indicating the progress of works

  • Liaison with the Client, Contractor and Environment Agency

  • CQA Report Writing



  • Landfill Design and Construction Including:
  • CQA Plan Preparation

  • Design, Contract and Tender preparation

  • Liaison with the Environment Agency, Client and Contractor

  • Project Management



  • Site investigation work including:
  • Desk studies – including geological interpretation, groundwater flow etc.

  • Contract preparation

  • Site supervision – shell and auger drilling, rotary rig drilling, dynamic probing

  • Contaminated land

  • Follow up work

  • Report writing



  • The CQA work, and to a lesser extent site investigation work, would involve working on the site for the duration of the contract, with the potential for weekend working.
    We operate throughout the UK hence the successful applicant(s) would be expected to be flexible with respect to working away from home during the week.
