SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEERS AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY HAMPSHIRE
Senior and Principal Software Test Engineers are now required to be responsible for the development and implementation of a best practice embedded software automated test environment. You would be joining a well – established company based in Alton, Hampshire which designs and manufactures electric motors, industrial joysticks and control systems for electric vehicles.
As Software Test Engineer you will develop simulation / model Environments for the exercising of the systems embedded source code in a mixed host / target environment. You will develop a comprehensive library of detailed test cases using an automated environment and scripting language, plus provide metrics on Software quality including test coverage. You will also work with the software team on system-level testing on the company’s test vehicles. Furthermore, you will work with the applications team to assist with customer facing issues.
Successful candidates will need experience within a complex embedded test environment working e.g. Automotive, Aerospace, Comms. You will need experience of the development of test environments using automated tools for example TTCN / SDL / / Rhapsody / UML / Studio etc. Experience of writing parameterised test scripts for success and failure cases is also necessary. Automotive / AUTOSAR / MISRA experience would be an advantage, as would experience within an auto code generation development environment. Experience with electric vehicles and CAN bus experience is also very desirable. Successful candidates will also require an excellent degree in an appropriate scientific / engineering discipline.
