SENIOR SIMULATION/MODELLING ENGINEERS SPACE SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY BASED HERTFORDSHIRE
Excellent opportunities now exist for Senior Simulation and Modelling Engineers to join this leading, state of the art technology company which is a global leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. They are now seeking a number of Simulation and Modelling Engineers to be based at their site in Stevenage:
Senior Simulation/Modelling Engineers – Your role will be to contribute to the design, development, test and maintenance of spacecraft simulators. You will be at the focal point for future modelling and simulation activities in the UK. You will be involved in the areas of definition, software design, software implementation (C++) and testing of software simulation models for satellite components and their interfaces for real-time and non-real time applications. You will also be responsible for the integration, test and verification of satellite simulators and operational user support for these simulators. You will also be required to prepare proposals and technical studies on the above subjects.
Ideally qualified to degree level or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Maths or equivalent, you will have experience in object-orientated based software design and software development in C/C++. You must have the ability to understand and implement mathematical models of spacecraft components. You will have experience with real-time software, real time simulation and hardware in the loop simulation experience is desirable. A basic knowledge of electrical engineering and interface buses (VME-bus, MilBuss) as well as Matlab/Simulink would be advantageous.
For the roles, you will either spend a period of 5-6 months in Germany before being based at the Hertfordshire site or attend a training period of one month in France.
