A major engineering player in providing cutting edge solutions with regards to complex mechanical systems and components are currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their Manufacturing and Development Department. They operate in various markets, which include Automotive, Defence, Marine and Aerospace, supplying services to companies both in the UK and Abroad. Their reason for recruiting is due to an internal promotion, which has created a post that you could possibly fill.
Your role as a Design Engineer is to provide conceptual and final design on a number of new and existing projects. You will also be required to lead some of the manufacturing teams with regards to proto-type and end manufacturing to ensure that there is minimum waste. You could also be involved in regular client development meeting, which will entail project update and review, delivery dates and further requirement capture.
To be considered for this position they will be looking for the following below:
Equivalent qualifications to a HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
Sufficient and Appropriate Experiences within Automotive, Aerospace, Marine or Defence Manufacturing and Design Environments
Experiences around FEA & Stress Analysis
Industrial experiences using Solidworks, CATIA V5 or ProEngineer
Experience around managing Projects Development
You will be provided with a 3- 6-month training programme, which will include further specific training courses, on the job training and external training. You will also undergo a full induction programme so that you are familiar with company protocols and health and safety regulations.
The starting salary which is dependent on your expertise could fall in the realm of £29,000 - £35,000 + 25 Days Holiday + PRP Reviews + Defined Contributory Pensions + Life Insurance.
