PURCHASING AND LOGISTICS MANAGER

A Purchasing and Logistics Manager is now required to manage the supply base, ensuring continuity of material supply at this world leader in the design and manufacture of electric motors and revolutionary new wheel motors for the automotive industry.
Successful candidates will possess an engineering associated degree and possibly CIPS or equivalent. You will have automotive experience, plus experience in some or all of the following: Greenfield organisation; manufacturing start-up (prototype to volume); introduction of new MRP/ERP system; supplier selection & relationship building; negotiation (prototype, tooling & volume supply; supply contracts; low cost country and global logistics (supply & delivery).
You will also be self-motivated; tenacious; analytical; thorough; team-orientated; manufacturing financially aware and prepared to travel. You will also have experience of Global logistics (supply & delivery); continuous improvement; problem solving and man-management (motivation, appraisal, etc.) experience.
