Reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Supervisor, this site based role will include a variety of tasks including:
Assist Engineering Managers team to ensure delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works to agreed schedules.
Support Shift Supervisor to ensure stock levels and spares are managed, following company purchasing procedures.
Undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance and inspections as required, to schedule.
Operate the building on daily basis as required and directed by Shift Supervisor/Engineering Manager.
Respond timeously to breakdowns, according to service level agreement schedules.
Escorting and supervising sub-contractors on site
Carry out dedicated electrical and mechanical installations (depending on experience) as and when required.
Undertake all machinery / plant room / Building maintenance & cleaning to agreed schedules.
Assist other team members in non-technical multi-handed tasks.
Use and support site based electronic records for all tasks and activities.
Ensure health and safety at all times. Prepare risk assessments and method statements as required. Wear PPE in accordance with instructions.
Skills/qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems and maintenance practices
In depth understanding of how building operates through the seasons
Working experience of planned preventative maintenance schemes
16th Edition IEE or mechanical equivalent
Full, clean driving licence
Basic administrative experience
Understanding/operation of Trend BMS systems a distinct advantage
