Location: Reading

Job/Role Purpose
To provide the electrical/electronic design analysis, evaluation and qualification of a Warhead Electrical System. You must have knowledge of Warhead Electrical Systems and their technologies and software development.

Due to the sensitive nature of the client's business, you MUST be a British national. Applications from Ex British Forces candidates encouraged.

Key Responsibilities
Maintaining the Design Authority design record.
Preparing trials requirements and trials specifications.
Participate in electrical and functional trials in the UK and the US.
Preparing trails evaluation reports for trials.
Preparing technical assessments based on qualification evidence.
Review formal analysis and design evidence to support approval submissions.
Support warhead process runthroughs.
Represent the Design Authority meetings and exchanges.
To be aware of and comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation and internal Company Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.

Qualifications
Degree or HND/ HNC with relevant experience, in electronic engineering or a related science based subject.
Membership of a Professional Engineering Institution.

Skills
Ability to use office-based computer applications.
Ability to plan and execute formal trials.
Ability to write concise technical reports.
Ability to deliver good technical presentations.
Ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions.

Special Requirements
Willing to travel to other MoD establishments.
Willing to work in RA and associated hazardous facilities.
Willing to travel to design and test facilities in the USA.
Willing to undertake a MSc in Systems Engineering.
Willing to act as mentor to graduate electrical engineers.
