Our client specialises in the development and production of storage and network technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop test software to support qualification testing of new disk drives.
- Liaise internally and with drive manufacturers to understand test requirements for disk drive features and functions as deployed across the intended range of products. Prepare test specifications accordingly and identify and prepare justifications for any relevant test equipment
- Ensure that all test software activities are carried out in accordance with company software development guidelines and ISO standards.
- Ensure that all test software development is completed and successfully implemented within agreed timescales.
- Be responsible for ensuring that any assigned inventory (drives, controllers etc) is returned on time.
- Assist with any other related work as may be reasonably requested to support the Drive Qualification process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HND or equivalent in software engineering or a related subject (relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement)
- Organised approach to work and ability to work under pressure when required
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Disciplined and methodical approach to software development with demonstrable evidence of clear and concise documentation
- Flexibility to work outside of a 9-5 environment as required
