To conduct Development activities, utilising test facilities as appropriate.
1.Work within the development section of the R&D Technology group at Slough. To manage work flow and resources to meet Due Dates with solutions that address projects and programmes defined by R&D Manager and Senior Project Leader Bearings. 2.Interpret project or technical specifications & test specifications to implement practical evaluations of bearings and mechanical shaft seals and associated materials and components using test equipment as required to meet objectives 3.Use monitoring, inspecting and data processing facilities available to record and document for future ref results of trials and analysis work conducted. Produce and support technical presentations for management , customers and promotions as required 4.Advise and Supervise on the sourcing and purchase of equipment and parts to support the product development testing facility ensuring that adequate systems exist to maintain records of settings, systems and configurations for future use 5.In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post 6.Maintain safe working practises for self and others in accordance with the Company's policy on Health and Safety.
1.Develop, perform and document test assessments to achieve robust developed product solutions which meet management requirements 2.Participate and control in the design and development of new validation and development tests and fixtures
- At least 3 years in test engineering - IT capabilities (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) - Practical hands on experience ,including test and problem solving - Understanding of engineering principles, materials & systems - Experience of Technical report generation & submission/control - Organised, Methodical, with practical approach - Reliable, flexible, logical, analytical & task achievement orientated
Supervisory/leadership skills: - Communication skills (internally and externally) Formal & Informal - Prepared to assume role & work hours as required to complete tasks set irrespective of location (nationally or internationally) |
