An engineer capable of operating complex prototype equipment for which training will be given is needed to augment a development team evaluating a new design of precision tester for the disk drive industry. Responsibilities in this role will include execution of a series of tests described in a test plan and record results and observations from these tests, working with engineers to clarify tests and results, maintain the equipment under test, consumables and the working area in a clean and well organised manner, scheduling tests and publishing a calendar of activities. Participating in review meetings. Familiarity with electronics test equipment in general. Able to use, under instruction, prototype software and electromechanical systems. Manual dexterity (small parts need to be handled using tweezers). Familiarity with ESD precautions for Electronics assembly. A methodical attitude. Attention to detail and good observational skills. Ability to communicate precisely verbally and in writing. Able to use common software such as MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
