Responsibilities: 1. Soldering/hand assembly of PCB assemblies, following documented procedures (OMS) and using equipment provided by the client to defined workmanship standards (i.e. IPC class 3). 2. Immediate reporting of shortages on works orders to supervision. 3. Feedback of problems with production equipment, production processes and product quality as appropriate and immediate reporting of faulty equipment to supervision 4. Ensuring production equipment used is within calibration and safety test dates where required. 5. Stamping of product that has passed each stage using a personalised stamp in accordance with QA031. 6. Accurate recording of pass/fault info on the client serial tracking database AIS or paper records in accordance with MP229 and relevant Test Procedures (TP). 7. To ensure that previous operations have been completed (stamped off on the route card or as indicated on AIS) on the product before carrying out their test operation. 8. Counting and stock checking material in the client stock. 9. The handling of all goods in accordance with standard client practice including ESD, Moisture sensitivity and shelf life procedures. 10. Any other activities assigned by supervision/management that are relevant to the job function.
Competence Requirements: Base skills: - Previous soldering experience desirable. - Previous hand assembly experience desirable. - Experience in component recognition desirable. - Previous experience of electronics manufacturing desirable. - Good communication skills. |
