Senior Project Manager/Planning and Contracts Engineer - Electrical/Utilities/National Grid background - Project Management experience - based Croydon - salary to £50K plus car allowance and benefits
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager/Planning and Contracts Engineer with relevant experience of project management and a sold background in the electrical industry, utilities and/or National Grid to supervise and take responsibility for the lead engineers in charge of projects.
The company produces and distributes a wide range of advanced electrical and electronic equipment to both the domestic and commercial market and also has a Transmission and Distribution business
The job role can be flexible according to the candidate's strengths and aspirations but will include
* Managing and preparing engineering plans and programmes and presenting the information in tabular or graphical form.
* Monitoring and controlling engineering progress and preparing reports
* Monitoring and controlling engineering costs
* Assisting with manpower planning.
* Compiling written progress reports.
* Distributing contract documents and amendments
* Assisting in the preparation of applications for payment and cost allocations
* Establishing and maintaining a contract filing and contract change system
* Maintaining register of contract variations
* Participating and contributing to regular design meetings
* Preparing purchase requisitions and draft sub contracts
It is essential that the Senior Project Manager/Planning and Contracts Engineer has a solid electrical industry background that includes project management and utilities or National Grid experience - the role can be adapted for a suitable candidate
In addition to a competitive basic salary the package for the Senior Project Manager/Planning and Contracts Engineer's role will include
