Hardware Design Engineer - New Product Development - Electronic Test and Measurement Instrumentation - Project Leadership potential - based Dover - Salary £28 - 38K
We are looking for a hardware orientated New Product Development Engineers with a first or second-class honours degree (or equivalent) combined with industrial experience and the potential for project leadership.
The company's product encompasses a breadth of disciplines including
* precision analogue often with high noise content
* digital design
* embedded firmware
* DSP techniques
We are, therefore, looking for engineers who can offer competencies in more than one of these areas.
It would be advantageous if an Engineer has had direct experience in an instrumentation design field as well as an appreciation of safety and EMC aspects of product design. Of greatest need are hardware-oriented engineers with project leadership potential. We are not looking for pure software/firmware people at this time
The Company is a leader in the design, manufacture and sale of electronic test and measurement instrumentation and their products are used in the electrical sector from generation, transmission, distribution and utilisation to hand held products for the contractor.
These vacancies are available due to the expansion of the company and their new product development department which has led to opportunities for new product development engineers to get in on the ground floor of a new initiative.
The company's engineering function currently comprises approximately 30 people, which are broken down into a number of project teams made up of 5 professional engineers developing new product from creation, through production engineering and final release to the market. A team leader is appointed for a new project from the engineers.
