Our client is one of the largest privately owned manufacturers of instrumentation in the UK and offer industry standard measurement and control products.
Position Summary:
Design of analogue and digital electronics for sensors and instrument control equipment. New product development and technical product support from concept to end of product life
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronics development for New Products from initial concept to production
- Production of manufacturing drawings and documentation including Circuit Diagrams, PCB Assy Drawings, PCB Manufacturing Information (Gerber Generation), PCB layouts and product BOM.
- Gain relevant approvals for products including EMC and IS.
- Provide technical support for new and existing products.
Key Objectives:
- Development of next generation of low cost pressure sensor signal conditioning
- Development of micro-controller based platform
- Support development of ATE system for pressure sensor corrections
Essential Attributes, Skils, and Experience:
- BSc or BEng in Electronics or related Degree
- Demonstrated ability of analogue circuit simulation, experience with Multisim
- Demonstrated ability of 8 bit Microcontroller design, PIC or MSP430 experience
- Experience in PCB layout, familiarity with Ultiboard
- Experience of running & participating in Product Development Projects
- Previous experience of gaining product approvals EMC & IS. Generic product standards preferable
- Previous experience of embedded software design for real time systems (8 bit micro-controllers), using C and Assembler
