Electronic Development Engineer/Leader - experience of the development of electronic Test and Measurement products from concept to post production - project leadership experience - based Dover - salary up to £40K depending on experience
We are looking for an Electronic Development Engineer/Leader with a good degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or related subject (or equivalent) and experience in the development of electronic Test and Measurement products from concept to post production.
The Electronic Development Engineer/Leader should have had sufficient experience to have been promoted to lead these projects from start to finish involving all stakeholders
The Electronic Development Engineer/Leader will need broad experience of applying Project Management tools and techniques and a sound understanding of analogue/digital electronics design and firmware development even though you may specialise in one or more disciplines.
All candidates for the position of Electronic Development Engineer/Leader must have awareness and experience of designing for LVD and EMC. Experience in the use of design tools such as DFM and FMEA along with manufacturing technologies and test systems would be a distinct advantage.
Based within a development department the role will involve leading the development of one or more test and measurement products for use within the Electrical Supply and distribution industry.
The Electronic Development Engineer/Project Leader will report directly to the Technical Director/Business Unit Manager and will be expected to lead development projects, either internally with a team of 3-5 engineers or through the coordination of sub-contract developments with external companies.
Accordingly, the role will require excellent presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to coordinate and motivate both small teams of engineers and wider cross functional groups to meet project targets.
