Senior Digitial Signal Process Engineer

We are an independent specialist recruitment agency and we are looking for an experienced DSP Engineer for our prestigious client based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The DSP Engineer main job responsibilities will be to develop measurement algorithms for the generation and analysis of digital wireless communication standards, eg GSM, EDGE, UMTS, WLAN, WiMAX.
Other duties and responsibilities will include the development of algorithms that will anlayze digital wireless communications signals that originate from either a mobile or base station.
The successful candidate will be expected to work from standard specifications and marketing requirements.
Skills, expertise and experience requirements:-
Educated to degree level in an engineering related discipline.
Experience in developing signal processing algorithms within the wireless communication industry.
Have good mathematical ability applied to the generation of algorithms for digital processing of analogue signals.
Understand signal processing and wireless communication theory.
Digital signal processing experience applied to digital radio communications systems, such as WiMAX, LTE and UMTS would be desirable, as well as experience of digital signal processing in mobile or base station test equipment design.
Must be proficient in Matlab, with a working knowledge of C/C++, self motivated and keen to work within a team.
