MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee individual application developments and promotion.
- Participate in reviews throughout application development, within the department and with the vertical markets.
- Share Application knowledge, both within the Application Group, and across other Eurotherm departments.
- Participate in the review of R&D functional and design specifications to ensure product developments take application factors into account.
- On occasion, work closely with R&D in the specification and development of applications derived from our more generic product offerings.

- Must have PLC/SCADA experience.
- Ability to communicate (written and spoken) with the team using English as a common language
- Good IT skills (MS Office) including SQL and Relational Databases
- IEC-1131 Programming Languages (FBD, SFC, ST and LD)
- Wonderware product range, especially InTouch 9.5 and ArchestrA (architecture, objects & visualisation)
- Use of a high level computer language (e.g. C++, Visual Basic) would be an advantage
- Communications, especially MODBUS RTU/TCP, Ethernet TCP/IP and Profibus
Knowledge :
- An understanding of project execution methodologies
- Detailed understanding of at least one of my clients product stream, knowledge of additional product streams would be an advantage.
- Experience working with applications from any of the Vertical Markets (Heat Treatment, Life Sciences, Glass, Water and Plastics).
- Must have PLC/SCADA experience.
Experience:
- The Candidate will ideally have worked in an application-focussed environment for a number of years.
- Candidate will be expected to have demonstrated Project Management experience in a technically biased environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A relevant technical qualification in engineering or computing.
Salary up to £34k pa pro rata (initially 6 months contract possible permanent) |
