Field Service Engineer (FSE) – UPS experience - Electronics, Electro-Mechanical qualifications – home based – salary £20/21K to £40k plus depending on experience
We are looking for a UPS Field Service Engineer with a degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical or other technical discipline or military training and experience.
Candidates for the position of UPS Field Service Engineer should have experience in technical repair or a related technical field and have active listening and excellent communication skills
Time management skills are a must as is arm-hand steadiness and the computer knowledge of Word processing and email
Working within the Power Service department the UPS Field Service Engineer will be responsible for scheduling and completing preventive maintenance and repair obligations as specified by existing service agreements.
The UPS Field Service Engineer will also be responsible for increasing the service business within each territory while focusing on quality service relationships and customer satisfaction.
Excellent technical and communication skills are needed to positively interact with customers and company personnel and successful candidates will be self-motivated individuals that can independently manage their time and schedules. UPS Field Service Engineers (Electronics, Electro-Mechanical) should also possess basic business acumen and effective communication skills at all levels
Day to day duties will include –
• Product installation, in-service, demos, technical training, upgrades, troubleshooting, inventory management and service
• Updating technical and applications knowledge on an ongoing basis and attending training courses.
• Identifying product deficiencies and taking action to correct
• Travelling to local and remote areas to service customers and attend meetings
• Advising management of feedback from customers.
• Submitting paperwork including expense reports, time sheets and memos.
• Budget and resource management
