Senior Electrical Field Engineer,
An opportunity has arisen in the Electrical Operations Department for a Senior Electrical Field Engineer.
The position will involve maintenance supervision, commissioning and fault finding on a wide range of electrical equipment including low voltage and high voltage distribution systems, large induction and synchronous motors on both safe and hazardous area plants. Other responsibilities include plant personnel training, technical auditing and providing feedback to the electrical design office.
The position is likely to suit an experienced Electrical Technician/Engineer who has gained a minimum of 5 years practical experience preferably in a petrochemical type industry. The candidate should be qualified to HNC or equivalent standard and have a high level of practical, technical and communicative skills; the ability to speak a second European language will be an advantage.
This is a demanding role in a progressive and innovative company, the position provides excellent personal development prospects working in a multi national and multi-discipline operational team environment, on company owned and third party process plant generally in Europe. As an integral part of the operational team you will be expected to contribute to continual improvements in operational safety, plant reliability and profitability.
As a European based field engineer you will be expected to attend plant breakdowns at short notice which may occasionally entail working outside normal hours and at weekends.
A desire to be part of a team together with a high level of initiative and willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally world-wide is essential.
Salary range: negiotiable depending on experience
