A vacancy has arisen for a Project Estimator to work on a prestigious contract for a Facilities Management company. The position will be split between two sites in Berkshire to assist with the efficient operation of the facilities. The post holder will evaluate customer requirements and produce proposals including cost with in the contract timescales, carry out the production of Project Scopes based on the requirements of the Client & end users and carry out the preparation/submission for approval of cost notifications to the Client through effective management techniques. Further accountabilities will be to liaise as necessary with the company supply chain to calculate project costing, support the commercial team, providing information necessary to establish financial completion of accounts and maintain Technical Knowledge through training, CPD and other methods to up hold the position of Estimator. The successful candidate will possess the ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance, have good all round knowledge of project management disciplines i.e. Electrical, Mechanical and Building & Civil Engineering and be commercially aware with a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation and management. A candidate with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), IT literate with good people management, leadership, decision-making and communications skills is desired. |
