Product Manager (Filtration) - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification/experience - technical product knowledge and competitor awareness of the filtration marketplace - based Oxfordshire -salary £30 - 35K + plus car, mobile, laptop, lunch expenses etc
We are looking for a Product Manager (Filtration) with a HNC/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and good technical product knowledge and competitor awareness of the filtration marketplace
Candidates for the position of Product Manager (Filtration) should also have quality awareness and standards and be capable of self management
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) would also be required at both customer and senior management level
Keyboards skills and a full Driving Licence are necessary
Reporting to the Managing Director the main objective of the role is to be the main contact for the Filtration products within the UK company both technically and commercially
Day to day duties will include:
* Establishing links with the Filtration plant in Germany and becoming their representative in the UK.
* Taking on responsibility for larger projects and quotations and supporting the sales engineers.
* Becoming familiar with every aspect of the product from a technical, application and production viewpoint.
* Becoming the total expert for the product.
* Establishing costs at plant level and formulate pricing structure
* Ensure that the companies profit objectives are met.
* Negotiating with customers and the supply plant for significant contracts
* Providing product and application training to company personnel, distributors and customers.
* Supporting the sales engineers both technically and commercially
* Visiting strategic customers to assist them in the promotion and sale of the product.
* Providing technical and commercial support to in-house sales co-ordinators
* Preparing strategic targets for the product group and driving its progress
* Ensuring that literature and technical / commercial documentation is updated
* Providing product and application training to company personnel, distributors and customers
