Product Manager (Coolers) - hydraulics knowledge/experience - Air blast, water plate coolers and chillers - based in the sales department in Oxfordshire but working in the field - salary £30 - 35K+ plus car, bonus etc
We are looking for a Product Manager with a minimum qualification of HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and experience within the Hydraulics sector or similar technical based experience.
The Product Manager will be mainly concerned with (Coolers) - Air blast, water plate coolers and chillers and will take responsibility for being the link in the UK with the company's comparative factory in Europe and for being the technical expert in the UK for that product range.
The Product Manager (Coolers) will need Technical Product Knowledge (Hydraulics/coolers)and competitor awareness. You should be a good time manager - organised and able to prioritise and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) at both customer and senior management level
Although this position will ideally be local to the company in Oxfordshire as they would like the Product Manager (Coolers) to work from their offices, they will consider those further a field as well.
The main objectives of the role will be to become the main contact for the Coolers products both technically and commercially; to establish links with the European plant and to be their representative in the UK and to take on responsibility for larger projects and quotations and support the sales engineers.
Day to day duties will include -
* Becoming the total expert for the product.
* Establishing costs at plant level and formulate pricing structure
* Negotiating with the customer and the supply plant for significant contracts
* Supporting the sales engineers both technically and commercially and visiting strategic customers
* Providing technical and commercial support to in-house sales co-ordinators
* Competition awareness
* Preparing strategic targets for the product group
* Providing product and application training to company personnel, distributors and customers.
Salary package will include bonus (approx £1k per full year), car, mobile, laptop, expenses, lunch expenses), Pension and Life Assurance
