Our client is involved with manufacturing and heavy process engineering. We have a requirement foe an Electrical Project Engineer to undertake project engineering within a paper manufacturing environment. and to ensure that engineering projects are costed, designed, installed and commissioned to agreed timetable and within specified budget.
We would be looking for a minimum of five years experience in a process related industry. (Preferably paper) - Heavy process i.e. steel, petrochemical, power station, water (large scale), some food manufacturers, some consultancy or contractor. Could be 2 years heavy experience providing a good grounding from a lighter industry background.
Motor Control Centre (MCC) Specification & Installation. (415 Vac) up to 250kW
Variable Speed Drives – both ac and dc
PLCs
Rotating machinery.
Preferably capable of working on HV Systems up to 11kV (3.3 kV minimum)
Plant commissioning experience. Could be maintenance background looking to cross over providing background suitable.
The Engineer would be expected to:
Work on multiple projects as part of a multi-skilled team. From inception to final design and implementation.
To project manage on selected projects and to supervise the team of Engineers assigned to that project such that the project is completed to specification, timescale and budget. Budgets from say £30k to £1m plus. Be self starting and able to work with the minimum of supervision. Be conversant with: Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & MS Project).
