We currently have vacancies for Design Engineers in both our Cardiff and Essex Offices, to undertake electrical design projects within the Design section of our Engineering Department.
Principal duties and responsibilities will include:
Co-ordination and delivery of power systems design projects
Completion of detailed design drawings and estimating schedules
Customer liaison and relationship management across allocated engineering projects
Compliance and further development of our Quality Standards (ISO 9001 –2000)
Maintaining awareness of developments within the energy/utilities marketplace
Representing the company at client meetings
Accurate updating of internal and external IT databases and related systems
Liaison with IT/Quality/Finance Departments
Other duties as required by Engineering Manager
Skills and abilities:
Minimum 3 years relevant industry of power systems design experience
Electrical Engineering Degree in Power Systems or equivalent
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft applications and design software (i.e. Windebut, PSSE, Amtach, AutoCAD)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong commercial skills sets
Ability to work with graduate/junior engineers, delegate appropriate tasks and assist in monitoring and supervision of day to day activities
Full driving licence
Chartered engineer status (or equivalent ) desirable but not essential
