Senior Design Engineer
Role
One of our specialist contract team requires an Engineer to both design and do calculations and analysis (Thermal, stress etc.). The successful candidate will be given the responsibility of work packages, to design and do the required analysis to ensure the part meets the specification.
The person will be reporting to the Engineering Manager who is full time on this Contract.
A certain amount of hands-on testing in the R&D Laboratory may also be required.
At the end of the contract there will be further opportunities within this expanding companies design office.
Qualifications
The candidate is to have a good Degree in Mechanical Engineering or experience which is equivalent
Experience
Designing items including associated calculations and analysis.
Having worked on military products would be advantageous, or automotive and aerospace.
At least 5 years experience is required, taking on responsibilities for work packages.
Skills
A good knowledge of Pro-Engineer Wildfire and Pro-Mechanica would be preferred, however other 3D modelling packages and analysis software will be considered.
Salary
The salary will depend on previous experience and skills the candidate has but would be looking in the region of £30K to £40K
