Senior CAD Co-ordinator based in Reading

Job Description
To assist the design process by setting up, producing and maintaining mechanical and electrical working and record drawings.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the CAD/Design team members to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives relating to CAD/AutoCAD work within the Branch Working from engineers/designers calculations and/or rough sketches/drawings produce accurate and structured drawings suitable for final issue Support Branch members in the correct and professional application of relevant CAD systems e.g. AutoCAD Architectural Desktop II and BSLink Ensure that company procedures, especially relating to design work, are followed at all times Maintain correct and orderly documentation in order that relevant personnel can readily and easily access required information Use appropriate technical skills to produce accurate building layouts from hand drawn layouts and/or by site measurement Visit sites as required in order to gain practical experience of the general points of installation practices and apply these to improve design effectiveness Ensure that all CAD systems introduced into the Company are operated to consistent standards and that these standards are constantly maintained Enhance own company knowledge by obtaining a brief understanding of the processes involved on a project from tender through to final completion Maintain highest levels of commercial confidentiality in all aspects of employment Any other duties as required
Qualifications:
Ideally educated to HNC level in building services (or equivalent) standard
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience working with CAD/AutoCAD 2004 ABS & ADT, CAD Duct, Navis Works is essential, preferably within a building services environment Must have sufficient Cad experience and experience in 3D modelling Must have technical skills knowledge, and possess good communication skills together with a practical, common sense and flexible approach Capable of leading a CAD team and strong resource allocation and planning and implement Company CAD systems/standards. Relevant Design Knowledge Relevant Technical Knowledge Proficient use of Autocad 2004 ABS & ADT, CAD Duct, Navis Works Production and Maintenance of 'working' and 'as built' Drawings Aesthetic Enhancement Hardcopy Management Drawing File Management PC Skills - e.g. Microsoft Office Hardware/Software Knowledge
