Job Title: Graduate/Trainee Building Surveyor
Salary: £18k-£22k
Location: Colchester (+ Suffolk/Norfolk)

The successful candidate will be dealing with claims of a wide variety of properties following damage attributable to a range of perils, including fire, flood, subsidence and impact. The role also includes dealing with Party Wall and CDM (Construction – Design Management) issues, as well as reconciliation of costs on conclusion of claims, eventually being responsible for managing and planning your own workload and visits whilst delivering professional advice to claimants when on- site.
You will need to be decisive in resolving matters and appreciate the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, have excellent communication & empathy skills and a good working knowledge of IT.
Candidates should ideally possess a building related HNC or degree qualification and will be expected to work towards a professional qualification (CIOB/RICS/ICE) and keen to ultimately achieve Chartered status.
Insurance experience is not essential and the company will actively support and encourage training in all aspects of the role. Full UK driving licence essential.
