JOB SUMMARY:
Working within a small product category team to test and develop products to maximise performance, minimise cost and introduce innovation. Each team consists of a Project Manager, Design Engineer and Designer and Development Engineer who work in conjunction from concept through to production.
Integral in the initial decision making and discussions regarding hardware and the direction of the project, working with the team to produce prototype models. Product performance and approval testing and testing at pre-production stage.
PLANT, EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES AND TOOLS:
1.Microsoft office
2.Use of hand and machine tools in the workshop environment
3.Use of company cars
KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
1.Sound Knowledge of basic engineering design techniques (mechanical bias)
2.Microsoft office including project
3.Rapid Prototyping techniques
4.CAD knowledge an advantage

7.Enthusiastic and dynamic
Candidates will be required to undertake some foreign travel as a requirement of the role. Estimated travel requirement per year would be approx 3 times for up to 2 weeks to either Europe or Far East.
