Design and Development Engineer x 2 - Mechanical /Electrical Engineering – CAD (Solidworks) - experience of Hydraulics or a Hydraulic related field and products a plus – experience of Oil & Gas and/or Process Industries of benefit - based Charlbury, Oxfordshire – salary £20 – 30K depending on experience
We are looking for two Design and Development Engineers – one junior and one senior – who have a HNC/D Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or equivalent, experience in a Mechanical and/or Electrical related field and good CAD skills
The Design and Development Engineers will need to have good organisational, communication and people skills and be able to work under their own initiative
Experience of Hydraulics or a Hydraulic related field and products would be advantageous as would experience of Oil & Gas and/or Process Industries
Solidworks and AutoCAD experience would be a definite plus for the Design and Development role as would practical ‘hands on’ experience especially Machine Shop Skills and an understanding of Hydraulic circuit diagrams
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the principal objective of the role of Design and Development Engineer is the design and detailing of hydraulic systems and components.
Day to day duties will include:
• Visiting customers to discuss requirements
• Designing hydraulic systems and components to customer specifications
• Detailing components using 3D Solidworks CAD system and the occasional use of AutoCAD, 2D Circuits and Exported Diagrams
• Supervising quotations from selected vendors
• Supervising, assembling and testing of custom systems
All candidates should have a full driving licence
