An AutoCAD Technician is required for a job in Winchester, Hampshire to provide Design Draughtsman experience and skills to a Global Leader who specialises in ‘making the world a quieter place' by providing acoustic solutions to the built environment.

From its Global Headquarters in Winchester UK, my client, a world leader, offers imaginative solutions to an extraordinarily wide range of noise pollution and sound quality problems. Market leaders since 1945 and with over 1000 employees across the world my client has a buoyant workload operating as key suppliers to the worlds top companies. Using award-winning technology my client provides bespoke services to the civil, military, residential, power and acoustic markets.
Reporting to General Manager in the power team the role would require the successful candidate to carry out engineering designs and detailed drawings in respect of Power products using the latest company AutoCAD package.

The role will be based in the Winchester HQ, and may require domestic and international travel
 1. To carry out engineering design duties in respect of Power Division and hardware packages and to be familiar and current with the latest company Auto CAD package.
2. To prepare general arrangement and detail drawings for acoustic packages and related equipment as required, and to compile and issue parts lists for manufacture as required.
3. To coordinate and communicate, both orally and in writing, with the customer, suppliers manufacturing and  engineering departments at all levels in a professional manner.
4. To attend meetings both internal and with the customer and when necessary carry out site surveys. To bring to the attention of your line manager any customer changes that may affect delivery timescales or be subject to increased costs.
5. To be fully aware of drawing budgets on each project, compile time sheets, and to advise your line manager on a timely basis if budgets are likely to be exceeded.
6. To carry out any other duties as reasonably directed by the General Manager of the Power Division and the Director Acoustics Division
