Introduction:
Our client is a leading shipbuilding company who, due to expansion, immediately require a number of Pipefitters/Pipeworkers to join their growing team based in Portsmouth. This is a very unique and interesting working environment where you will make a direct contribution to building new ships for the Royal Navy.

Successful candidates will come from a previous pipe manufacture or fitting background. Please note that there is a relocation package for those appropriate candidates looking to move to the Portsmouth area.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 6.30 am to 4.00 pm (4 day working week). The salary is £21,008 plus overtime and benefits, please see below.

Suitable candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.

Responsibilities:
- You will fit pipe systems, associated equipment and then become involved in the test and commissioning of those systems.
- You will also be involved with the manufacture of pipes in the pipe shop for installation at ship.
- Fabricating and installing small bore pipe work runs at ship that are not pre made in the shop.
- Commission installed pipe systems.

Applicant Requirements:
- Previous working knowledge in pipe manufacturing or/and pipe fitting.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
- Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have a marine working experience.
- Appreciation of Health and Safety.
- Team player.
