Eden Brown are currently looking for an Engineering Plant Operator, to fill a permanent role, for a client based on the Shorncliffe military site in Folkestone. (CT20 3HG) This is a great opportunity for candidates to build upon a their existing foundations, and further their career in Building Services.
Preferably candidates will have a recognised Building Services qualification. E.G C&G or NVQ's. Candidates should be able to work in a military environment. They should be self motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision. A driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
·Routine testing of emergency lighting.
·Water sampling and temperature recording of outlets, showers and storage vessels in accordance with procedures in place to minimise the risk of Legionellosis.
·Monitoring of heating/ventilation systems for hot water and thermal comfort.
·Periodic operation and maintenance on compressed air systems for the client.
·Undertake swimming pool plant maintenance and operation on a rotational basis to ensure pool availability to the client.
·Routine pool water sampling and recording of results, advising line management of any concerns. This will also entail participating in a weekend/bank holiday rota covering 3no MoD pools in Kent, for which overtime rates will apply.
·Minor building services related remedial works as instructed by line manager.
·Advise line manager of any concerns identified.
