The Job
My client is seeking a Regional Manager to open a new office in Herfordshire. As it will be a brand new region you will be promoting the company in this region, winning work, building client relationships and enhancing the reputation of the client. You will be responsible for the running of the office. This includes: Contracts Management, client liaison, marketing to find new clients, sponsorship of tenders, estimating, managing all staff including Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, recruitment and completion of final accounts. You will be reporting into the Board of Directors on all commercial aspects.
The Requirements
You must be qualified in Civil Engineering to degree level and have a broad understanding of civil engineering, having previously and perhaps currently, working a selection of civil engineering projects to include: highways, bridges, water, sea defence to name but a few.
It is likely that you will already live in or around Hertfordshire as it would be advantageous for you to already have existing relationships with clients in the local area. You will already be working for a Main Contractor with a Civil Engineering bias and may work as a Senior Level Contracts Manager or an Operations Manager and be looking for the next opportunity to take your career forward.
