Main Responsibilities
- Focus point for the package team, controlling and conveying procurement strategy
- Procuring packages within commercial budgets set by the Commercial manager.
- Procuring packages that are fully integrated in line with the production philosophy and logistics of the project overall including preparation of scopes of works, preliminaries, methodology and the like
- Formulate and establish a conclusive scope of the works for the package, identifying key interfaces.
- Establish best practice techniques and ensure lessons learned issues are taken on board for the package.
- Establish through the design process key elements which would lend themselves to value engineering possibilities.
- Review and sign off of pre tender qualification information
- Formulate a package risk analysis, identifying key commercial and production risks and identifying contingency plans to negate any additional costs.
- Formulating an out-turn cost for the package at recommendation stage of the procurement process.
- Administer and identify for discussion contract issues through negotiation with the Sub-Contract and negotiate a commercially acceptable position for Skanska derby.
- Administer and control the package post contract, including cost reporting, formulating valuations, administering the variation account, managing the supply chain, progress monitoring, review of forthcoming programmes and agreeing sub-contract accounts.
- Establish and record the earned value analysis of labour output during the project execution recording progress on a monthly basis.
