My client are market leaders in the construction of sports facilities in the UK including natural and artificial turf winter sports pitches, golf and race courses and polo pitches. The Position - Contracts Manager
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will oversee a number of projects:
- You will have experience of proactive business development, dealing with enquiries, follow up, convert to contracts, oversee contracts and assume complete financial accountability.
- Organising staff under your control, including maintaining Health and Safety Standards.
- Ensuring economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities.
- Maintaining standards of excellence, ensuring the continuance of the company’s reputation and client satisfaction.
- Producing significant contribution to annual turnover of contract work and related activities and demonstrate commercial viability.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience of drainage and earthworks projects, ideally involving sports turf construction, however, if a candidate has experience of hard/soft landscaping over large, flat areas (i.e car parks) and laser grading they will also be considered.
Highly motivated and experienced professional with a demonstrable track record of delivery of contract management – minimum 3 years. Previous experience of people management is essential. Although based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire you will be required to travel widely throughout the UK in order to visit clients and sites.
