As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be overseeing and carrying out the installation and commissioning of landfill gas- driven standby power generators, diesel generators, CHP plant, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), LV/MV/HV switchgear, control systems (similar to programmable logic controls - PLCs) and associated plant (data comms kit etc). Key skills involved are electrical, mechanical and controls engineering. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines or similar equipment.
Market leading firm specialising in the supply of standby power solutions has an immediate requirement for a Commissioning Engineer due to sustained growth. Supplying to a wide range of companies in the construction, utilities and military sector is vital in the supply of continuous power.
To succeed as a Commissioning Engineer, you will need to be a multi-skilled engineer. As this involves working alone with responsibility for power critical solutions, the successful engineer will need to be autonomous and good at dealing with clients.
